Plowshare’s Death Penalty Committee gathers for candlelight vigils at 8:45 PM in front of the Natural Foods Coop, 1318 Grandin Rd., or downtown Roanoke, on the nights of executions. (Please note: this is a change from our previous site at the Municipal Building). We have also sponsored Journey of Hope, a tour by exonerated Death Row prisoners and murder victim family members and co-sponsored “Love on Death Row”, a film at Grandin Theater, along with Virginians Against the Death Penalty and the American Civil Liberties Union.
